Our first experience was positive but this last one was awful. No water was served until we asked. Napkins and utensils were only provided after the food arrived (I got up myself to get some napkins). Cocktails were fine but we were not offered anything to drink with our meal so I had to request a glass of wine. The first one arrived with an insect in it. The second arrived with lipstick on it and finally the third was fine though we were given the impression of being difficult customers. No apologies were offered at any time. Our waitress must have had a difficult day as she was very inattentive ( Im being kind). The food was good.
Usually I'm pretty satisfied when I go here, but when I went last week I was a bit disappointed. My friend's calamari wasn't properly cooked and so we returned it. My burger was super dry. We never got water. And it took the waitress a good 15-20 to come see us when we got there, and it really wasn't busy (maybe half of the terrasse had people, and not a single occupied table inside). She also never did a table check once we got our food, so we never had a chance to order more drinks. Loved my poutine, and my friend loved her steak hach. I'll go back, but I'll be a bit more careful.
Two of us took the ye Olde hambourger plate the burger was charred the piece of lettuce on the Bread saw better days the pickle and slice of tomsto were the best items on my plate. My friends took leak soup which simply leaked and had too much salt. The terrace is a nice place e to seat in. However the whole place needs a serious makeover inside and out. Starting with the ugly weeds and a pot of sigarette ends placed right by the first rickety steps going up to the terrace. This is a place for taking beer and later on in the evening there is live music...the two best features in this place in addition to the short Tartan skirts in the girls and a longer on on some young men.
Wonderful place to relax, meet friends & enjoy the terrace with a bass draft & the nachos are Superb! Friendly staff. Great menu choice :))
Great little restaurant in a very nice area. Food is slightly better than average for a pub meal, pricing is average as well. Not the best place but definitely worth going to if you like the type of food they serve. Not very busy during weekday afternoons, packed at nights so make sure to arrive early if you want a table during peak times.
